The Planning is Moving Along
Dave and I met in June 2006. We met through mutual friends at our favorite local Flint bar, the Red Baron. I was already pre-occupied with another relationship so we just became friends and hung out with our group of friends. Then came St. Patrick's Day 2008 and everything changed. I realized that their was something different about Dave that I couldn't put my finger on. We started to spend a lot more time together and then it all just happened that I couldn't be without him. I had seriously fallen head over heels.
I left for optometry school in the fall of 2008 and we talked every night making it through the first quarter. When I finished my first quarter of school we went out to celebrate with dinner and drinks. While we waited for our check he pulled the ring out of his pocket and asked me to marry him. I never expected it but it was absolutely perfect and low key just like us.
We have a May 22nd, 2010 wedding planned. We are getting married outdoors with a small wedding with close family only, and a large reception. We are in full planning mode while I'm not working my booty off in optometry school. I can't wait to become Mrs. Marshall, I'm the luckiest girl alive.
